Plagiarism Policy – University of Lusaka

The University of Lusaka defines plagiarism as the use of another person’s thoughts, ideas, or work without proper acknowledgment. Submitting plagiarized content may lead to penalties, including reduction of marks or rejection of the submitted work.

The University uses a plagiarism checker tool, accessible via the link below, to evaluate student submissions. This tool checks for both:

  • Textual similarity – Copied or closely paraphrased content.
  • AI-generated content similarity – A newly introduced check.
Note: While the AI similarity check is available, it is still under review by the University and not yet used as a formal assessment metric.

Please ensure all work is original and properly referenced. Access the plagiarism checker here: University of Lusaka Plagiarism Checker .
