Semester registration is done Online in your student portal once logged in. A minimum deposit of 50% of the total fees is required for you to register.
Students are advised to register as soon as they are accepted to secure a place for programs with limited capacity or within the registration period as stipulated in the Academic Calendar:

Greetings! Welcome to the University of Lusaka – June/July Semester

We’re excited to welcome you to the University of Lusaka! To help you get started, please review the following tuition fee payment guidelines.

Tuition Fee Payment

Tuition fees can be paid soon after you receive your Acceptance Letter. An initial deposit of at least 50% of the total tuition fees is required to register.

Please ensure you use your full Student Identity Number for all payments (including accommodation and transcript requests).

I. Real-Time Payment Options

Online Payment

Payments are made via the student portal at https://portal.unilus.ac.zm/. Login using your student number and password.

If you have trouble logging in, reset your password at https://portal.unilus.ac.zm/password/recover.

Currently, only valid Visa cards are supported for real-time transaction updates.

REGISTRATION

Visit www.unilus.ac.zm or search “UNILUS” online.

Click on “Portal” in the website header, then select “Students.”

  • Log in using your student number and password.
    Reset Password (if needed): Select “Student” account type, enter your student
    number, and follow the emailed link to set a new password.

○ Accessible via desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.
○ Ensure sponsor information is complete.
○ Click “Course Registrations,” review available courses, and click “Submit
Registration.”
○ Review the confirmation page and finalize if at least 50% of fees are paid. If not,
proceed with the Online Payment option.

ACCOMMODATION

On-Campus Accommodation

The University offers accommodation facilities at our Silverest Campus for all programs offered there. To be accommodated, students must be REGISTERED and must apply strictly through their Student Portal.

It is mandatory that accommodation fees are paid in full within 48 hours of a confirmed room reservation.

  • School of Business and Public Health: June 16, 2025

Move-In Dates

  • School of Medicine: June 31, 2025 – July 13, 2025
  • School of Business and Public Health: July 21, 2025 – August 3, 2025

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
  • Weekends: 08:00 – 12:00

Off-Campus Accommodation

The University maintains a curated list of recommended boarding houses conveniently located near all our campus locations. Each property has been thoroughly vetted by our Student Affairs Department. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 International Students—Study Permit Information

All accepted international students must apply for a study permit through the
Zambia Immigration Department.

Students outside the SADC region must first obtain a visa and only travel after receiving approval. Once in Zambia,
they must apply for a study permit within 30 days of entry.

 Study Permit Requirements

  • Apply within 30 days of entry.
  • Application fee: K9,000 (non-refundable).
  • Application methods:
    • Online (self-service)
    • Through the International Student Advisor / Student Affairs Department

 Required Documents (Checklist)

  1. Certified copy of valid passport (done in Zambia by commissioner for oaths)
  2. Cover letter to Director General of Immigration
  3. UNILUS Letter of Acceptance
  4. Medical report (UNILUS or Zambian government hospital)
  5. 1 Passport-size photo
  6. Commitment letter (Sponsor/Guardians/Parents)
  7. Consent letter (Parents/Guardians/Spouse)
  8. Covering and Host letters (from International Student Advisor/Academic Office)

⚠️ Important

  • Complete the application and payment within 30 days of arrival.
  • Failure to comply may result in:
    • Penalty fee of K24,000
    • Possible deportation
