CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of lecturers in various schools on full-time basis. The candidates should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in the following fields:

1. SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

i. LECTURER IN CYBER SECURITY/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER SCIENCE (BACHELOR’S PROGRAMMES)

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
  • A Master of Science in Computer Science or any related field.
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
  • 2-3 years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level

2. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

i. LECTURER – CORPORATE FINANCE

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Accountancy, Full ACCA, CIMA and or CA Zambia
  • A Master of Science in Accounting and Finance.
  • A PhD in in this particular field is highly desirable.
  • A qualification in Teaching & Lecturing Methodology.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
  • Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be an added advantage.

ii. LECTURER – ECONOMICS

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Arts in Economics or Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance with a Merit or Better.
  • A Master’s Degree in Economics/ Economics and Finance
  • A PhD in Economics is highly desirable.
  • A qualification in Teaching & Lecturing Methodology.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
  • Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be an added advantage.

iii. LECTURER – ENTREPRENEURSHIP

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship with a Merit or Better.
  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship.
  • A PhD in this particular field is highly desirable.
  • A qualification in Teaching & Lecturing Methodology.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
  • Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.

3. SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES

i. LECTURER – PHYSIOLOGY

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physiology or Medicine and Surgery.
  • A Master’s Degree in Physiology.
  • A PHD in Physiology will be added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
  • Experience in research and academic publications will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

ii. LECTURER – BIOCHEMISTRY

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Biomedical Sciences.
  • A Master’s Degree in Biochemistry.
  • A PHD in Biochemistry will be added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
  • Experience in research and academic publications will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

iii. LECTURER – PATHOLOGY

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery or Biomedical Sciences.
  • A Master’s Degree in Pathology.
  • A PHD in Pathology will be added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
  • Experience in research and academic publications will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

iv. LECTURER – HUMAN ANATOMY

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Physiotherapy.
  • A Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy.
  • A PHD in Human Anatomy will be added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
  • Experience in research and academic publications will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

v. LECTURER – BIOLOGY

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Medicine.
  • A Master’s Degree in Biology.
  • A PHD in Biology will be added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
  • Experience in research and academic publications will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

Salary Package:
