Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree offers courses that go beyond the requirements of the conventional law degree. The courses are tailor-fitted to enhance the student’s research and practical skills.
Courses are carefully designed to enhance students’ research and practical skills, with particular focus on legal research, writing, argumentation and problem-solving. Students learn how to find, interpret and apply legal sources, construct clear written and oral submissions, and evaluate competing legal positions—abilities highlighted in leading legal education models that stress research, advocacy and legal writing as core graduate attributes.
The law degree offered by the University is accredited by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and recognized by the Zambia Qualification Authority (ZAQA) and the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE). A student who completes the law program can undertake the Legal Practitioners Qualification Examination (LPQE) course offered at ZIALE.
