Bachelor of Arts in Economics

This programme provides the foundational knowledge necessary for further study in business, finance, and economics. It offers rigorous training in Mathematical Economics and core Economic Theory (microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics), alongside courses in economic development and the application of economics to real-world and global issues.  Students develop strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, economic modelling, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex economic information clearly.  Graduates of a BA in Economics are prepared for a wide range of career paths, including roles such as economist, financial or data analyst, policy analyst, investment or business analyst, economic researcher, consultant, and positions in government, NGOs, international organisations, and the wider business and financial sectors.

The minimum entry requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Economics are five (5) “O” level credits or better which must include English language and Mathematics
