Bachelor of Medicine and of Surgery
This course leads to the award of the basic degree of Doctor of Medicine. The qualification is an undergraduate degree; however, to become a specialist in a field of medicine, additional training is required. To practice as a general doctor, this qualification is sufficient.
The School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, maintained by the World Health Organization, with a sponsor’s note from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG – USA), the Medical Council of Canada, and the Australian Medical Council Limited.
