Master of Political Science and International Relations

The Master of Political Science and International Relations equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in the foreign service, intergovernmental organisations, NGOs and international business. The programme focuses on political systems, diplomacy, global governance and foreign policy analysis, while developing strong research, analytical and communication skills relevant to roles such as diplomat, policy analyst, political affairs officer and international civil servant. Students are also prepared for academic and policy research careers, with training in qualitative and quantitative methods, international political analysis and the study of global issues such as conflict, development and human rights. The programme is offered on a flexible basis through part-time evening and distance learning modes, typically completed over 24 months.
